Freda Stump, age 98, passed away on Monday (July 7, 2014) at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling
Green, Ohio.
She was born on January 25, 1916 in Bradner, Ohio to the late Fred and Goldie (Bivens) Adkins. She
married Charles Dale "Bid" Stump on June 28, 1934 in Bradner, Ohio and he passed away on
December 15, 1989.
Surviving is her sister, Norma Habel of Gibsonburg, Ohio; grandchildren, Angie (Jeff) Babcock, Vicki
Fillhart, Alan Stump; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, Ryan, Amanda;
great-great-grandchildren, Kennedy, Jackson and Avery.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Rex Stump; brothers, Ralph, Ellsworth, Carl;
sisters, Gladys Adkins, Helen Van Ness, Annabel Hansen, Mary Wollam and Harriet Sting.
Freda worked with her husband "Bid" at the Kelsey-Freeman Lumber Company which later became the
Stump Lumber Company and also at the Stump Hardware Store, which were both located in Bradner, Ohio.
She was a member of the Bradner United Methodist Church and loved taking care of her yard and doing word
search puzzles.
A Graveside Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday (July 9, 2014) at Bradner
Cemetery in Bradner, Ohio with Pastor Jeff Ridenour and Pastor Mark Kuhlman officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Bridge Home Health & Hospice of Bowling Green, Ohio.
Arrangements are being handled by Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio.
