Freda Johnson
Freda M. "Pete" Johnson, 89, of Toledo, Ohio, and formerly of Helena and Risingsun, Ohio, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013.
Freda was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, to the late Frederick and Marie (Stump) Leimgruber. She married Clifford L. Johnson Sr., and he preceded her in death in August of 1992.
Freda is survived by her two sons: Clifford (Jean) Johnson, of Helena, Ohio; Dan (Nancy) Johnson, of Risingsun, Ohio; a brother: Sam Leimgruber, of Rudolph, Ohio; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Along with her parents and husband, Freda was preceded in death by a son: Carl Johnson; siblings: Raymond, Dorothy, Rose, Frederick, Dauald, Gladys and her sister Evelyn Lindquist who passed away on June 7, 2013.
Freda was a 1942 graduate of Liberty High School in Rudolph, Ohio.
Freda was a homemaker on the family farm in Risingsun, where she enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren.
Freda was also a member of the Church on Strayer, in Maumee, Ohio, where she was known to the congregation as "Granny."
Visitation for Freda will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 10:30 a.m., in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME REMEMBRANCE CHAPEL. Interment will follow in the Eisenhour Cemetery, Pemberville, Ohio.
Memorial Contributions in Freda's honor may be given to The Church on Strayer, 3000 Strayer Road, Maumee, Ohio.
