Frances M. Adams, 86, of Bowling Green, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014.
Frances was born in Wauseon, Ohio to the late Charles and Linna (Coy) Schlegel. She married John Adams on
December 6, 1949 and he preceded her in death in 1961.
Frances is survived by her daughter Judy (Archie) Dilsaver of Bowling Green; her sister, Gladys Rue of
Wauseon; grandchildren, Gerid and Justin Adams, Jaime Keller, Adam Dilsaver, Nicholas "Steve"
and Michelle Groff, Valerie Baum and Scotti, Rusty and Dustin Baumbarger; and a host of
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Linn, and daughters, Gail Groff and Jacqueline Baumbarger.
Frances was a graduate of Wauseon High School and was the valedictorian of her graduating class at Maumee
Valley School of Nursing.
She was a Registered Nurse Practitioner for the Wood County Health Department, retiring after 20 years of
service. Frances was a former member of the Plain Congregational Church in Bowling Green and was
currently a member of the St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Bowling Green.
Frances enjoyed traveling and playing a good game of euchre. In her spare time, Frances enjoyed crafts,
sewing and working out in her garden. One of Frances’ favorite things to do was to bake pies; she
affectionately received the nickname the "Pie Lady" for her excellent cream pies she made for
family and friends.
Frances enjoyed volunteering at the Wood County Hospital Gift Shop and was a member of the Wood County
Hospital Guild. Frances was very family oriented and loved her family dearly, especially her
grandchildren whom she loved spending time with.
Visitation for Frances will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the
DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio

Funeral Services for Frances will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. in the St. Marks Lutheran
Church, 315 S. College Dr., Bowling Green, Ohio 43402.
Interment will be at 2 p.m. in the Wauseon Union Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions in Frances’ honor may be given to the church, Bridge Hospice, 1069 Klotz Rd.,
Bowling Green, Ohio 43402 or to the Bowling Green Care Center Activities Fund, 850 W. Poe Rd., Bowling
