F.E. “Butch” Fork
F.E. “Butch” Fork, age 71, of Woodville, OH, passed away unexpectedly near his residence on Saturday afternoon, April 27, 2013.
He was born on October 7, 1941 in Toledo to Floyd and Adelyn (Heider) Fork. On December 2, 1961 he married Alice Poff in Dayton, OH and she survives.
Butch had been a salesman in the automotive industry having worked for Snap-on Tools, Matco Tools, Ed Schmidt Pontiac and B & W Paint.
He was a lifetime member of Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, OH, and was well known in the area for being a motorsport fan also belonging to the Antique Automobile Club of America, Antique Auto Racing Association, Goodguys Rod & Custom Association and Fremont Speedway Historical Club.
Butch is survived by his loving wife, best friend of 51 years: Alice, sons: Jeff (Lori Rapp) Fork and John (Lisa) Fork, both of Woodville, grandchildren: Bryan (Jessica) Fork of Gibsonburg, Andrew (Jessica Sije) Fork of Genoa, great-grandson: Beau Fork of Genoa, sister: Sandra (Kent) Bringman of Woodville, nieces: April Hammer, Abbe Whitacre, nephew: Seth Bringman, great-nieces: Emma and Madison Hammer and great-nephews: Reid and Graeme Whitacre.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Marsh Funeral Home, 201 West Main Street, Woodville, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 11 a.m. from Solomon Lutheran Church, Woodville, OH, where there will be additional visitation conducted from 10 a.m. until services. Interment will be in Westwood Cemetery, Woodville, OH.
A bereavement luncheon will be served at the church immediately following the cemetery committal services. Officiating will be Rev. Christina Ahlman.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to: Solomon Lutheran Church, Solomon Lutheran School, American Heart Association or the Kidney Foundation.
