Evelyn (Pat) M. Smestad, previously of Bowling Green, passed away on December 25, 2013 in her home in
Albuquerque, New Mexico.
She was born on February 7, 1920, in rural Wood County, just north of Bowling Green, to the late Claude
and Imogene (Hempy) Devlin.
She is survived by her three daughters and son: Connie (Don) Sarver, of Bowling Green; Cathie Rendina, of
Albuquerque, New Mexico; Carol (Robb) Smestad-Reichert of Bowling Green; and Gregory (Sherry) Smestad,
of Albuquerque, New Mexico; and seven grandchildren: Cindy (Randy) Ducat, Amy Ducat, Lorie (Gary)
Morelock, Michael Rendina, Karena Smestad, Luke Holmen, and Megan Holmen and eight great-grand children.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Kidd and her brother, John Devlin.
She was a graduate of Bowling Green High School and Bowling Green School of Practical Nursing.
Pat worked for many years at Community Nursing Home in Bowling Green.
She was a former member of St. Marks Lutheran Church, Bowling Green.
She enjoyed sewing, reading and flower gardening. She loved spending time with her family and found great
joy with her many pets.
A Celebration of Pat’s life will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
