February 9, 1938 - November 4, 2013
Eugene "Gene" Moses, 75, of Irmo, South Carolina and formerly of Deshler, Ohio, died Monday, November 4, 2013 at his residence.
He was born February 9, 1938 in Deshler to the late Ancel R. and Ethel E. (Stiles) Moses. On December 5, 1959 he married Helen L. (Finney) Moses.
Gene was a graduate of Deshler High School and then served his country in the U.S. Army, receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1962.
He was a self employed electrician and farmer, and worked for over 16 years as an Application Engineer at Fostoria Industries.
He was a member of Port Clinton Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; sons, Thomas (Dotty) Moses, Irmo, South Carolina; Timothy (Angela) Moses, Whitehouse, Ohio; four grandchildren, Chelsey (Jeff) Feus, Derek Moses, Hunter Moses and Kate Moses; one great-grandchild, Lilly Feus; sister, Marilyn (Ray) Gallant, Van Buren, Ohio; brother, Donald Moses, Arcadia, Ohio.
He was preceded in death by brother, Richard.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Rodenberger Funeral Home, Deshler, with Rev. Amy Haines officiating. Graveside services with military honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Deshler.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday prior to the services.
