Esther Joseph, 96, of Bowling Green and formerly of Cygnet passed away Wednesday March 6, 2013.
She was born in Portage, Ohio to the late William and Clara (Staashelm) Greive. Esther married the love of her life Donald Joseph on February 5, 1941 in the Hope Lutheran Church and he preceded her in death on December 16, 1996.
Esther is survived by her two sons: Richard "Butch" Joseph of Bowling Green and Roger (Sue) Joseph of Sunset, South Carolina and two granddaughters: Leigh Joseph and Libby (Justin) Bruce. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Henry and Edwin Greive; three sisters: Julia Lemmerbrock, Edna Kaase and Johanna Greive and a daughter in-law Judy Joseph.
Esther was a member of the Hope Lutheran Church and a graduate of Portage High School. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning.
Visitation for Esther will be on Sunday March 10, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 PM in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 West Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, Tele: 419-352-2171. Her Funeral Service will be Monday, March 11, 2013 at 10:30AM in the Remembrance Chapel of the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Fish Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be gifted in Esther's honor to Bridge Hospice or to Hope Lutheran Church.
