Elizabeth "Betty" Frank, 79, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.
Elizabeth was born at home in Dunbridge, Ohio to the late Michael and Theresa (Kosa) Farkas. She married her seventh-grade sweetheart Warner "JR" Frank June 27, 1952 in Monroe, Michigan; he preceded her in death on December 8, 2011.
Surviving are her three sons: Dana (Wanda), Bowling Green; Jeffrey (Colleen Weaver), Portage; and Steven (Susan Jakubowski) of Oak Harbor, Ohio. Also surviving are her six grandchildren: Chris (Leslie) Frank, Port Clinton; Travis (Jamie Hess) Frank, Bowling Green; Adam (Aerial) Frank, Bowling Green; Justin Frank, Portage; Joshua Frank, Toledo, and Jonathon Frank, Toledo along with her two great-grandchildren: Kale and Jailyn Frank; her sisters: Margaret Horner, Fostoria, Ohio, Irene (George) Farr, Bowling Green and Carol Lashuay of Bowling Green; her special nephew, Todd Lashuay, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Also preceding Betty in death were her sister, Yolanda Dulaney and brother, Stephen Farkas.
She was a 1952 graduate of Bowling Green High School and in October 1952, she joined the Frank family business, Frank Sales as their bookkeeper. She took a few years off from the business to raise her sons. She continued working and later retired in 1996.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Betty and her husband were former members of the Franklin Tour Club and Hill and Dale Campers Club. They both enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Arizona with their special friends. Betty enjoyed spending time in her yard and her flower beds, reading, sewing, quilting, cross stitching, and playing word games on her tablet. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
Betty's graveside service and burial will be for family and friends Monday, September 23, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in the Oak Grove Cemetery with Rick Metz officiating. The DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 West Wooster Street, PO Box 648, Bowling Green, Ohio 43402, Tele: 419/352-2171 has been entrusted with her final wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be gifted in her honor to Bridge Hospice or Wood County District of the American Cancer Society, 740 Commerce Drive, Suite B, Perrysburg, OH 43551 or Wood County District of the American Lung Association or to the church.
