DavisE-obitEdna Mae Davis ascended to be with her Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ on Thursday, July 18, 2013. Edna loved life. First and foremost she loved her Redeemer, Jesus. She also dearly loved her husband, Curt. Edna's children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her great joy and laughter. Edna's goal was making sure each of her family members had accepted Christ as their personal Savior. It brought her comfort later in life knowing her family would be reunited someday in Heaven.
Edna was well-known throughout Bowling Green for her delicious homemade pies. Many were blessed to eat a slice of Heaven. She was also known for her extreme couponing. Many of the employees at Krogers and the former Food Town stores knew Edna on a first name basis. She delighted in sharing her coupons with them.
Edna's hobby was going to garage sales. She loved garage sales. Her quest was to purchase every piece of Fenton milk glass, every stuffed teddy bear, and every cookbook she would spot at a sale.
She was born on April 15, 1930 in Bowling Green to Loyd and Creath (Alfrey) Stuller and married Curtis V. Davis on December 16, 1960.
Edna attended Bowling Green Christian & Missionary Alliance Church. She was a volunteer for many years at Wood Lane School. Curt and Edna opened their home for many years to serve various BGSU campus ministries including Global Connections, Cru (Campus Crusade For Christ), the Navigators and Athletes in Action.
In addition to Curt, she is survived by sons, Steve (Deb) of Wayne, William (June) and Frank (Michelle), both of Bowling Green; daughters, Beth (Bill) Instone, Miriam (Craig) Batke, and Rebecca (Trevor) Kendrick, all of Bowling Green; one brother, Loyd "Donny" (Mary Kay) Stuller of Worthington, OH; fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the DUNN FUNERAL HOME located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Visitation is Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time. Interment will be at Portage Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be gifted to Global Connections or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
Condolences may be sent to the family at www.dunnfuneralhome.com.
