Edna A. Dishong left her earthly home on March 7, 2014.
She was born in Grelton, OH in 1921 and was 93 at the time of her passing. She married Harold S. Dishong
on Feb. 22, 1942 with whom she raised five children on Hickory Street in Perrysburg.
She was the second oldest surviving member of First Methodist Church in Perrysburg, actively involved in
the Martha Circle there and tirelessly helped organize and prepare hundreds of dinners in the fellowship
hall during her 63 years of service. She was especially known for her pies, potato salad and cookies.
She adored her dachshunds over the years and her beloved Katie was at her side until the end.
She was pre-deceased by her husband Harold and daughters, Pamela Jean and Kristine Kay.
She is survived by daughters, Lynne Mack, Kapaa, Hawaii; Andrea Cline, Pt. Angeles, Washington; and son,
Daniel Dishong, Perrysburg, Ohio.
She enjoyed bird watching, wildlife of all kinds, her flowers, going to antique auto shows with her
husband and spending time with her six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Winters in Desert Hot
Springs with her husband and dear friend Estrid Welsh were some of her most joyous years.
Visitation will be at Witzler Shank Funeral Home in Perrysburg on Friday March 14 from 4to 8 in the
evening.
There will be visitation at First United Methodist Church, 200 W. Second St. in Perrysburg, on Saturday
March 15 at 11 a.m. preceding a service at 12 noon, followed by a luncheon In the Fellowship Hall.
