Dudley C. Welling, age 82, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at St. Clare
Commons, Perrysburg, OH.
He was born on January 6, 1932 in Luckey, OH, to Frank and Ada (Meyer) Welling. On May 23, 1950 he
graduated from Troy Luckey High School, Luckey, OH. Dudley married Mary Lou Bihn on May 8, 1954 in Grace
Lutheran Church, Luckey and she survives.
From 1953-1959 he served in the U.S. Naval Reserves.
For 45 years he worked at Ed Schmidt Pontiac, Perrysburg, as an auto technician and after retiring in
1996 he continued to work part-time as a dealer driver for another 14 years.
His memberships included: St. John’s Lutheran Church, Stony Ridge, OH, church dartball team and Stony
Ridge Civic Club.
Dudley is survived by his loving wife of 59 years: Mary Lou, daughters: Lynda Welling of Houston, TX,
Laurie Welling of Pinckney, MI, grandchildren: Clint (Andrea) Headley of Katy, TX, Branden Ladner, Logan
Ladner, Serena Ladner and great-granddaughter: Cheyenne Headley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother: Delton Welling.
Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. from St. John’s
Lutheran Church, Stony Ridge, OH, with funeral services being conducted at 11 a.m. Officiating will be
Rev. Daniel Beaudoin.
There will be a bereavement luncheon served at the church immediately following the funeral services.
Interment will be in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey, OH at 2:30 p.m.
Arrangements are being by the Marsh Funeral Home, Luckey, OH.
