Douglas Peter Remmel, 48, of Bowling Green, Ohio, died September 2, 2013 in Bowling Green.
He was born June 30, 1965 in Neenah, Wisconsin, to Donald D. and Joan V. (Vandehey) Remmel.
Mr. Remmel was a self-employed painter in the Bowling Green area for many years.
He was a graduate of Brookside High School in Sheffield, Ohio, and participated in the Bowling Green City Softball league. He enjoyed the Bowling Green Black Swamp Arts Fest, loved fishing on Lake Erie and in Canada, and spending time with family and friends.
Doug is survived by his father, Donald of Port Charlotte, Florida, brothers, Donald and Daniel, both of Costa Mesa, California.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Joan in 2008.
Funeral services will be private.
Arrangements are being handled by DUNN FUNERAL HOME Bowling Green, Ohio.
