Doris May Rigby, 83, of Bowling Green, passed away around 8 p.m. on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Clairbridge Unit of Sterling House, Bowling Green, Ohio.
She was born April 3, 1930 to Carl A. Carlson and Mildred (Wester) Carlson in their home outside Cleghorn, Iowa. She married James W. Ferguson and they later divorced. She married Wilbur K. Rigby in 1975, and he preceded her in death in August of 1998; she then moved to Bowling Green in 1999.
Doris is survived by her son, David L. Ferguson of Bangor, Pennsylvania; daughter, Rebecca C. Ferguson of Bowling Green, Ohio; David's children Michael, Andrew, Stephanie, Timothy and Daniel; and Becca's son's Benjamin and Nicholas. Her son-in-law, Allen R. Baldwin, followed her in death with his passing in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 15, 2013.
She attended the First Christian Church and loved sewing, reading, and anything to do with her grandchildren.
Public visitation will be Wednesday, September 18, 2013 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. with a service immediately flowing officiated by Reverend Brent Pomeroy. Visitation and service will be at DUNN FUNERAL HOME, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St.
Memorial contributions may be gifted to Simpson Garden Park or Southern Care Hospice.
