Donelda Spratt Huffman
Donelda "Denny" Huffman was born in Toledo, OH in 1925, and passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013 at age 87 at home in Bowling Green, OH, of pancreatic cancer.
She had also resided in Oak Harbor and Port Clinton.
She is survived by children Joe (Linda) Adams, Doug (Maria) Adams, and Jill (David) Krieger; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sister Joyce Bowlin; and brother Joe (Barbara) Spratt.
Donelda was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha (Wolfe) and Joseph Spratt, son Gordan Adams and husband Norman C Huffman.
Donelda was a graduate of Devillbiss High School and Bowling Green State University, where she received BS and MS degrees in education. Her 30-year teaching career included positions in Grand Rapids, OH, Bowling Green, Genoa, and Maumee High School, where she headed the English department until her retirement in 1987.
A memorial service in her honor will be held Thursday, January 2, 2014, at 1 p.m. with a gathering one hour prior at First United Methodist Church, 1526 East Wooster St., Bowling Green, OH 43402. A private interment will be held later in Oak Harbor, Ohio.
