Donald M. "Don" Clement

Donald M. "Don" Clement, age 78, of Tecumseh, passed away March 31, 2014 at home surrounded by
his loved ones under the gentle care of Hospice of Lenawee.
Don was born March 19, 1936 in Detroit, MI, the son of Donald and Alice (Smith) Clement. He married Ovida
"Weda" Mae Smotherman on April 22, 1955 in Corinth, MS. Sadly, she preceded him in death.
Don had worked as a Truck Driver for Bulk Transit for many years before his retirement in 2000.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and was an avid outdoorsman. Don liked to tend to his yard and tinker in his
garage working on his cars. He loved to take care of and spend time with his dogs and cats.
Don is survived by his partner, Norma Smith of Tecumseh; son, Donald L. Clement of Luckey, OH; daughters
Diana L. (Joe) Bressler of Elmore, OH, Della L. Eicher of Ottawa, OH, Deborah K.
Clement of Columbus Grove, OH, and Darla G. (Jeremy) Grover of Wayne, OH; Norma’s children, Cathy (Ken)
Mackey, Terry (Renee) Smith, Bill (Colleen) Smith, Brian Smith, and Sonja (Will) Glase; brother, Charles
(Bonnie) Clement of Rudolph, OH; sisters, Nina Williams and Nancy J. (Donald) Buehrer; grandchildren
Josh M. (Jennifer) Parlette, Jessica L. (Kirk) Shank, Donald L. Clement, Phillip W. (Amanda) Clement,
Rusty M. Ault, Hunter T. Gerschutz, Amanda K. Miller, Megan Robson, Melody A. Garay; great-grandchildren
Joshua M. Parlette, Gavin M. Parlette, Kolt P. Shank, Daniel Garrett, Saul Garay, Reyna Garay, Donna
Garay, Jade Clement, Trinity Perry, and Cobain Clement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Ovida "Weda" M. Clement; sons, Franklin D.
Clement, Dewayne K. Clement and Darryl W. Clement; daughter, Donna M. Robson; and his brother, Paul
Clement.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 3, 2014 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Tecumseh Chapel of Handler
Funeral Homes.
The funeral service will immediately follow visitation at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held Friday, April 4 at 1 p.m. at the Jerry City Cemetery, Jerry City, OH.
