WALBRIDGE - Donald P. Harris, 78, of Walbridge, died Wednesday (May 27, 2009) at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg.
He retired in 1990 from Metropolitan Distributing Co., where he was a sales representative for more than 20 years. He also worked for Buckeye Brewing for 15 years.
Mr. Harris enjoyed fishing, boating and hunting.
Born March 21, 1931 in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada, to Percy and Jean Harris, he is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard and Randy, both of Toledo; a daughter, Susan Fajkos, Northwood; a sister, Linda Baltrip, of Monroe, Mich.; five grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Walbridge. Burial will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 2 to 8 p.m., and Saturday beginning at 10 a.m.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice or the donor's choice.
