devon_gray_obitDevon Patrick Gray, 15, of Grand Rapids, Ohio, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2013.
He was born December 3, 1997 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Jane (Jankowski) Gray.
Devon was a freshman at Otsego High School where he was on the honor roll and played football and basketball.
He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, Ohio where he was a server. Devon also was a member of the Beaver Creek Boosters 4-H club and Otsego FFA.
He was an avid sports fan taking particular interest in Syracuse Basketball, Cleveland Indians, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Cavaliers.
He was a fun-loving, outgoing and caring person with the best sense of humor. He was the best son and brother anyone could ask for.
Devon is survived by his parents of Grand Rapids; sister and best friend, Lauren, and brothers, Benjamin and Ryan, all of Grand Rapids; paternal grandmother, Kathleen Gray of Toledo; maternal grandparents, Richard and Mary-Ann Jankowski of Toledo; great-grandmother, Stephanie Jankowski of Toledo; uncle Rick and aunt Paige; god-parents, Christine Jankowski and Joseph Gray; best friends, Colton Snyder, Trevor Buehrer, Jerome Griffin, Derek Morgan, Caleb Baus, Dalton Walls, Tommy Rodgers, Robbie Lutz, Colton Battin and Zane Thomas and numerous other aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 25, 2013 from noon to 8 p.m. at PEINERT-DUNN FUNERAL HOME, 7220 Dutch Road, WATERVILLE, OHIO. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Grand Rapids, Ohio. Father David Tscherne will officiate. Interment will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery Grand Rapids, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Devon P. Gray Scholarship Fund at Otsego High School.
