Obituary-Photo-Panning-DeLorisDeLoris D. Panning, 89, of Bowling Green, Ohio passed away Wednesday May 30, 2012.
DeLoris was born in Peru, Illinois to the late Henry and Margaret Wenzel. She married Alvin Panning on January 25, 1947 in Deshler, Ohio and he preceded her in death on April 3, 1995.
DeLoris is survived by her daughters: Denise (William) Fox of Bowling Green and Madaline Schneider of Columbus, Ohio; four grandchildren: Christopher (Dorey) Fox, Erin (Joshua) Fox-Jaworski, Joseph (Emily) Schneider and Jeffrey Schneider; three great-grandchildren: Gretchen, Lydia and Reagan.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband and siblings: Margaret, Bertha, Esther, Henry and John.
DeLoris proudly served her country as a part of the United States Marine Corp. during World War II.
She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Bowling Green. DeLoris was a graduate of Warner Beauty College and was a hair stylist for Monty Beauty Salon and later on at the Hotel Lobby. DeLoris loved her job and her clients she served, she was very proud that she worked until she was the age of 79.
In her spare time DeLoris loved to garden and work in her yard, which she was very proud of. She also loved to go to the Amish Country with her friends and family and loved the simple life they had.
DeLoris enjoyed traveling to Illinois and studying her family's genealogy. DeLoris' family was her number one priority. She enjoyed all the time she spent with them and cherished the time until her passing.
Visitation for DeLoris will be Friday June 1, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648, Tele: 419-352-2171Bowling Green, Ohio 43402. Her Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Bowling Green.
Memorial contributions may be gifted in DeLoris honor to Honor Flight of Northwest Ohio, PO Box 23018, Toledo, OH 43623 or to the Hospice of the donor's choosing.
