He went to Lime City School and graduated from Perrysburg High School in 1952.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957.
Dan worked at LOF Rossford as a pipefitter for 36 years, retiring in 1988.
He was a player/coach for several men’s softball teams in both Toledo and Perrysburg. He enjoyed downhill
skiing and snowmobiling, as well as golfing and bowling with family and good friends. He was a member of
Tanglewood Golf Club for 35 years and Rossford Eagles.

Left to cherish Dan’s memory is his loving wife of 53 years; son, Michael (Sue Snyder); daughter, Judy
(Ron) King; grandchildren, Danielle Bunde and Zachary King; and niece, Jennie (Bill) Buckenberger.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Mary Smithers and brother John and nephew

As he was in life, always thinking of others before himself, his final selfless act was to donate his
body to the Anatomical Donation Program of The University of Toledo College of Medicine.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Northwest Ohio Hospice, and a special thank you to Kathy, who
provided guidance and care through this final journey.
A celebration of Dan’s life will be held at Tanglewood Golf Club, 9802 Dowling Road, Perrysburg, Ohio on
Saturday, July 26, 2014 between 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
