Dale H. Dierksheide, age 81, of Winter Haven, FL, formerly of Wood County, OH, passed away peacefully on
March 26, 2014.
He was born on Sep-tember 21, 1932 in Brad-ner, OH to John W. and Lillian L. (Frobose) Dierksheide. On
July 25, 1954 he married Allene Metzger and she preceded him in death. On June 25, 2011 he then married
Bernice (Green) Hinesly in San Antonio, TX and she survives.
Dale was a retired engineer in the glass container industry.
He served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1953-54.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Haines City, FL and had also been a member of St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church, New Rochester, OH. Dale enjoyed sailing, tennis, golf, bridge, "marbles," and
renovating homes.
Dale is survived by his wife: Bernice Hinesly, daughter: Lynn (Tom) Bond of Shorewood, IL, sons: Craig
(Katie) Dierksheide of Myrtle Beach, SC, Jon (Elizabeth) Dierksheide of Elmhurst, IL, Scott (Dede)
Dierksheide of Tallahassee, FL, stepdaughters: Susan Harbort (Jay) of Aberdeen, MD, Sheryl Loftus (Tim)
of San Antonio, TX, sisters: Eloise Reitzel of Pemberville, OH, Donna Morlock of Wayne, OH,
sisters-in-law: Myra Dierksheide of Pemberville, OH, Loujean (Jed) Hazel of Perrysburg, OH, 13
grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and 6 step grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife: Allene and brother: Cornell Dierksheide.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church,
New Rochester, OH, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m.
There will be a bereavement luncheon served in the church fellowship hall immediately following the
memorial service.
Interment will follow the luncheon in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey.
Arrangements are being handled by the Marsh Funeral Home, Pemberville, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, New Rochester, OH,
or Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL.
