FarrBObitBrian Alan Farr, age 50, of Bowling Green, OH peacefully passed away surrounded by his family on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg after a brief illness.
He was born February 7, 1959 in Bowling Green to George and Irene (Farkas) Farr.
Brian was a 1977 graduate of Bowling Green High School and Penta Career Center. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2180, Bowling Green.
He was a machinist by trade, working for several machine shops in Northwest Ohio, employed most recently at Obars Machine & Tool Co. in Toledo.
Brian was a long time fan of NASCAR and his favorite driver, number 88, was Dale Earnhardt, Jr.; he was avid follower of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, and the University of Michigan football team.
Brian will be remembered as a loving son and caring brother, uncle and friend.
He is survived by his parents, brothers, Michael (Lori) of Bowling Green, and Darrin (Lori) of Hamilton, OH; nieces, Alicia (Zack), Amanda, Emily, Kelsey, Brianna; nephews, Tyler and Brennen; great-niece, Eleanor, great-nephew, Aiden; aunts, uncles and cousin; many friends and special friend, Sharon.
Preceding Brian in death were his maternal and paternal grandparents.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the Dunn Funeral Home, 408 W. Wooster St., from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with Pastors Becky Scofield and Thomas Mellott officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
