Louis G. Wehde Jr., 88, of Perrysburg, OH, died Monday, May 13, 2013 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Toledo, OH on February 3, 1925 to Louis G. and Margaret (Berger) Wehde. Louis was first married to Marcia E. Wise who preceded him in death on January 29, 1980. He later married Mary E. Lewis on May 1, 1982 in Perrysburg, OH. Louis was a graduate of Macomber High School and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a self-employed contractor working as a brick mason. Louis was instrumental in the formation of the Perrysburg Township Fire Department in 1961, holding every office at one time or another. He was appointed chief in 1977 and held that position for over three decades. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter.

Roger L. Hillabrand, age 89, of Stony Ridge, Ohio, passed away May 10, 2013, at his residence. He was born on April 14, 1924 in Rudolph, OH to Frederick and Lena (Redman) Hillabrand. Roger was married to Rose Marie Mars for over 30 years. He was an owner and antique dealer for over 60 years at Stony Ridge Antiques. Roger served his country proudly during WWII, while enlisted in the United States Navy, during which he had received a bronze star metal and was honorably discharged in 1945. He was a member of VFW Post #1148, Bowling Green, OH. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, watching birds and most of all he loved his cats! Roger is survived by his sons, Bob (Esther) Hillabrand of Stony Ridge, OH, and Barry Hillabrand of Risingsun, OH, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Robert C. Spanfellner, 77, of Perrysburg, Ohio passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born in Gibsonburg, OH on August 22, 1935 to Carl W. and Hazel M. (Jones) Spanfellner. Robert married the love of his life, Roberta A. Reinbolt in August of 1958 and together they raised their two daughters. He courageously served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Robert worked hard as a security guard at L.O.F. for 10 years until he took a supervisor job at Chrysler until he retired after 23 years in 1991. He was a faithful member of St. Rose Catholic Church, where he was part of the Men's Group Holy Name and a former parish council member. Robert was involved with the VFW and the American Legion Post 28, where he served as an officer at county and state level. He was also a lifetime member of Sandusky County Sportsman's Club.

Aloysius "Al" Belcik, age 84, of Walbridge, passed away peacefully May 12, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 16, 1928, in Walbridge to Charles and Katherine (Galecka) Belcik. On May 16, 1953, he married the love of his life, Leona "Lee" Harmon. Al was employed as a Clerk/Account for CSX Railroad before retiring in 1988 after 44 years. He was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church. To Al, family always came first. Al coached baseball for the Walbridge Colts, he loved traveling and spending his winters in Florida with his wife. He was an avid sports fan, he enjoyed bowling and going to sporting events with his son. Al made his own wine and was very proud and happy to offer anyone a glass no matter what time of day it was.
