Oates-Obit-PhotoRandy C. Oates, age 55, Walbridge, OH, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at The Toledo Hospital, Toledo, OH.
He was born on November 12, 1958 in Toledo, OH to Charles and Dora (Schuller) Oates. On June 10, 1977 he married Charlene Fegley in Woodville, OH and she survives.
Randy served his country proudly for 26 years while enlisted in the United States Army during the Gulf War and was a member of the American Legion.
He then worked at V.E. Peterson, Walbridge, as a warehouse manager.
In his spare time he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and was an avid NASCAR fan with Jeff Gordon being his favorite driver.
Randy is survived by his loving wife of 36 years: Charlene Oates, children: Bill Oates of NJ, Jeremy (Monica) Oates of ID, Justin Oates of Walbridge and Miranda (Johnethan) Wright, KS, 5 grandchildren, father: Chuck Oates of Perrysburg and sister: Cindy Oates.

WestrickNedObitPhotoNed J. Westrick, age 56, Kokomo, IN, passed away at 12:20 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2014, in St. Vincent's Hospital, Indianapolis.
Born August 2, 1957, in Findlay, OH, he was the son of Francis and Ruth Hoffman Westrick. His mother survives, residing in Rudolph, OH.
Ned was married on August 29, 1987, to Cathy A. Molique, who preceded in death on June 19, 2012. He was a devoted husband and loving father.
Ned had been employed for over 25 years at Delphi Corporation in Kokomo. He was a 1975 graduate of Bowling Green High School in Ohio. He then earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry in 1979 and a master's degree in chemistry in 1981, both from Bowling Green State University. Ned enjoyed working outside and carpentry, and he spent a great deal of time renovating and remodeling houses. He was a strong, smart man who supported his family and selflessly helped his friends and family when they needed him.
Ned was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Kokomo.

Kervin-obitRobert J. Kervin, 82, of Perrysburg, died at home on March 28, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 29, 1931 to Joseph and Loretta Kervin. He married Shirley Seiling, his loving wife of 60 years. They had six children, Kevin, Mike (Deb), Beth Laine (Pete), Bob (Jane), Dan (Beth), Patty Kummerer (Mike), 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He also is survived by three brothers and eight sisters and he was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Bob was a life member and current Vice Commander of American Legion Post 28. He was a member of St. Rose Parish Parish, Perrysburg.
There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, April 5 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, 130 W. Indiana Ave., Perrysburg.

DeWittL-obitLydia L. DeWitt of Bowling Green, passed away Sunday March 30, 2014. Lydia was born on December 14, 1926 in Chicago IL. to Emil and Otillie Lerchenstein. Lydia married Roy P. DeWitt on July 5, 1947.
Surviving are two sons Roy David, Kansas City, MO, and Daniel Jon (Betsy), Bowling Green, daughter Beth (Thomas) Spann, Independence, OH: four grandchildren David (Marie) DeWitt, Christopher Spann, Jacob and Grant DeWitt , one great-grandson Michael DeWitt, and two great, great grandchildren who lovingly called her Grammy.
Lydia was living at Heritage Corner at the time of her death. The family would like to thank them for their kindness, caring and the friendship that they provided.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 1, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dunn Funeral Home located in Bowling Green's Historical District at 408 W. Wooster St. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m.

Melvin Blaine Burwell, 86, Greensboro, Ga., died March 25, 2014.
Born Nov. 26, 1927 in Perrysburg, he served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
He spent his entire career with Libbey Owens Ford Glass.
Local survivors include a son, Douglas of Perrysburg.
A private service is planned.
