Jerry-Lucas-Obit-PhotoGerald "Jerry" Lucas, age 79, of Luckey, OH, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, OH.
He was born on January 22, 1934 in Latcha, OH to Merlin and Ruth (Christiansen) Lucas. On September 29, 1956 he married Geraldine Schmeltz in St. Rose Catholic Church, Perrysburg, and she survives.
Jerry was a supervisor for Sprint Telephone Company, Stony Ridge, OH, for many years.
He was one of the founding persons and member of Blessed John XXIII, Perrysburg, OH, usher for Saturday Mass and served on the luncheon committee. His other memberships included: Coachman Camping Club, Moose Lodge #846, Tiffin, volunteer fireman for Troy Twp. Fire Dept., organizer of the Luckey Fall Festival where he was in charge of the flea market for many years, former Luckey Councilman and served on the committee of Zoning Appeals for Luckey.

Garey-CoonenGarey W. Coonen, of Bowling Green, OH, passed away December 16, 2013, at Wood County Hospital.
Garey was born October 20, 1938, in Omaha, NE to Howard and Ebba (Kallander) Coonen.
He attended Benson High School where he excelled in track and field. His family moved to Elmhurst (Queens), New York, where he graduated from Newtown High School in 1956. He graduated from DePauw University, Greencastle, IN, in 1960, a member of Delta Upsilon fraternity, SDX journalism society, D-men sportsman, and ROTC.
On December 27, 1960 he married his college sweetheart Gayle (Hibberd) Coonen in Centerville, OH. They moved to Arlington Heights., Illinois, and he worked in Chicago as a reporter for City News, later with columnist Jack Mabley at the Chicago's American.

Ruth Obrock, 94, formerly of Walbridge, most recently of Raleigh, N.C. passed away Monday (Dec. 16, 2013) at Rex Hospital, Raleigh, N.C.
Visitation: Saturday, 11 a.m. to noon with funeral services at noon at the Marsh Funeral Home, Luckey.
Memorials: Zion Lutheran Church or Hospice of Wake County.

Bobby-GallantBobby "Bob" R. Gallant, age 77, of North Baltimore, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2013 at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
He was born on December 27, 1935 in Hoytville, Ohio, to the late Elias "Bud" and Emma Jane (Drummond) Gallant. Bob married Faith Hardy on November 16, 1957 in Bloomdale, Ohio.
Surviving are Bob's loving wife of 56 years, Faith; Son, Gary (Pamela) Gallant of Fostoria; Daughter, Karen (Jerry) Perry of North Baltimore; Sister, Mary Lou Gallant of North Baltimore; Grandchildren, Paul (Erin) Perry, Mallory (James) Chaffin, Anna Gallant, Jill Gallant; Great-Grandchildren, Logan Perry and Ryleigh Perry.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Elias and Emma; Brothers, Norman Gallant and Melvin Eugene Gallant.

Bobby Ray Gallant, age 77, of North Baltimore, Ohio passed away on Tuesday (December 17, 2013) at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio.
Arrangements are pending at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio.
