Marjorie-Strauch-Obituary-PictureMarjorie Strauch, 77, of North Fort Myers, Florida, and most recently of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014.
Marjorie was born on December 13, 1936 in Melrose Park, Illinois to the late Harry and Helen (Harding) Holscher.
Marjorie is survived by her daughters: Lisa Newton, of Hart, Michigan; Bonnie (David) Fintel, of Custar, Ohio; Julie (Douglas) Smith, of Boise, Idaho; a son: Michael (Mary Katherine) Newton, of Oldenburg, Indiana; grandchildren: Ashley (Fintel) Graber, Sarah Husain, Taneem Husain, Ryan Fintel, Victoria Smith, Batoul Husain, Samantha Smith, Benjamin Newton, Zainab Husain and Andrew Newton; great-grandchildren: Lucas and Brooklynn; a sister Virginia Basso, of Phoenix, Arizona and a brother: Richard (Donna) Holscher, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Former Ohio resident John Richard Ryder died Wednesday, January 1, 2014, in Peoria, Arizona.  He was 89.
Mr. Ryder was born to John Archibald and Julia Weaver Ryder on September 21, 1924, in Haskins, Ohio.  He was one of four children.
On January 3, 1944, he married Jean Louise Ziss in Muskogee, Oklahoma.  He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946.
Mr. Ryder worked as a sales representative for the Bostwick Braun Corporation of Toledo, Ohio for 22 years.  Later he began taking college courses and earned both B.S. and M.A. degrees in Education from Eastern Michigan University.  Mr. Ryder taught elementary school for 18 years in Plymouth, Michigan, where he also served as president of the Plymouth Educators Association.

Visitation is now Wednesday from noon until the service at 2 p.m. at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home.

Obituary-Jaso-LeoWeather has again delayed the visitation and service for Leopoldo "Leo" Jaso.
Visitation is now Wednesday from noon until the service at 2 p.m. at Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home.

Leopoldo "Leo" Jaso, 79, of Bowling Green died Tuesday December 31, 2013.
Leo was born in Goliad, Texas to the late Doroteo and Ostolia (Garica) Jaso. He married Dorothy Jaso on January 6, 1969 and she preceded him in death on June 29, 2013.
Leo is survived by his children: Sylvia Jaso, Leo Jasso II, Emilio Jasso, Danny Jasso, Margaretio Jaso, Victoria Whitacker, Esmeralda Jaso, Christine Whitacker, Sherry Rodriguez, and Jessie Whitacker.; a sister: Sulema Rodriguez and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

David L. Powell, 22, of Bowling Green, Ohio died Thursday, January 2, 2014 in Toledo, Ohio. He was born March 1, 1991 in Toledo, Ohio to David W. & Pam (Peth) Powell.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Pam & Craig Schall of Bowling Green, father, David Powell of Bryan, sister, Britnee Powell and brother, Zack Powell both of Columbus, grandparents, Richard & Sherry Peth of Genoa, Barbara Short of Elmore, great-grandmother, Bonnie Adams of Kentucky and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Celebration of Life public visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the PEINERT-DUNN FUNERAL HOME 18620 Washington St. Tontogany, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given in David's memory, as a blessing to his family to assist with funeral expenses. (Peinert-Dunn FH)
