Herman E. "Gene" Pennington Sr.
Herman E. "Gene" Pennington Sr., age 78, of North Baltimore, died at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Bowling Green on Saturday, April 5, 2014.
He was born on March 5, 1936 to the late Shady and Sena Mae (Cole) Pennington. He married Edna Evans on May 12, 1954 and she preceded him in death in November of 1995.
He is survived by: son, Herman E. "Gene" (Ruth) Pennington Jr. of Cygnet and daughter, Regena (Richard) Nickols of North Baltimore; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Donetta Smith, one grandchild, one great-grandchild, four brothers and two sisters.
Gene had retired as a truck driver after more than 30 years.

Jack-Hannah-obit-picJack G. Hannah, age 66, of Walbridge, passed away April 2, 2014, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo.
He was born on April 24, 1947, in Toledo to Louis and Louise (Grueshaber) Hannah.
Jack proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the following medals; National Defense Service Medal, Small Arms Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and Air Force Good Conduct Medal.
On November 17, 1972, he married the former Ann Diefenthaler.
Jack was a Master Tool and Die Maker for Royal Tool. He was a 30-plus year member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
Jack enjoyed all sports, but he loved rooting on his favorite teams, the Detroit Tigers, the Detroit Red Wings, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. In his spare time you could find him on the golf course or in his favorite La-Z-Boy chair.

Edwin F. Aufdenkamp, 89, of Bowling Green, Ohio, went to his heavenly home on Friday April 4, 2014.
He was born on March 4, 1925 to William and Lena (Buehning) Aufdenkamp.
He graduated with honors from Portage Twp. High School in 1943.
After graduation, he joined the Navy and was assigned to the U.S. Zeus and served in Antivecok in the Marshall Islands as a Quartermaster Signalman for the ship. He was discharged on March 25, 1946. While on furlough he met the girl of his dreams, Phyllis Catherine Tilton, and they were married on April 12, 1947.
Surviving Edwin is his loving wife of nearly 67 years, Phyllis; son, Ralph (Miriam) of Bowling Green; daughters, Barbara (Wayne) Badenhop of Wauseon, Beverly (Ken) Gerwin of Bradner, Linda (Ron) Joseph of Bowling Green; brother, Herman (Eileen) of Perrysburg; sister, Helen (Edward) Labo of Sylvania; sister-in-law, Judy Aufdenkamp of  Bowling Green; 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Burditt; brothers, Raymond and Eldon; and great-granddaughter, Danielle Boulis.
He was a lifelong farmer and was dedicated to raising livestock.

WulffOBITPhyllis Wulff, 87, of Bowling Green, passed away Wednesday April 2, 2014.
Phyllis was born in Van Wert, Ohio to the late E. Floyd and Mabel (Withrow) Hoaglin. She married Cecil Wulff in 1946 and he passed away on February 15, 1976.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Denise Zephier of Bowling Green, grandson, Keir Zephier and granddaughter, Glenn Zephier.
Phyllis was also preceded in death by an infant son, Martin Wulff; daughter, Sonja Whitesell; brother, Max Hoaglin and son-in-law, Hob Zephier.
Phyllis was an administrative assistant for the History Department at Bowling Green State University, where she obtained her love for history. She was a member of the St. Marks Lutheran Church in Bowling Green. She enjoyed gardening and biking while living in McClure.
