Lynn D. Elder, of Perrysburg, Ohio, passed on February 21, 2014.
Lynn was born December 23, 1925 in Toledo, Ohio, to Margaret and Jack Elder.
After graduating from DeVilbiss High School, Lynn enlisted in the United States Air Force, and saw action in the Pacific during World War II.
After the war Lynn returned to Toledo, he met the love of his life, Laura Ann Roether Elder. Married more than 63 years, they enjoyed square dancing and traveling to Europe to buy merchandise for the gift store they opened in Perrysburg, Ohio, in 1985, as a retirement business. Prior to that time, Lynn enjoyed long and successful career in banking.
Lynn is survived by his loving wife Ann, daughters Deborah Elder, Pamela Elder, son Gregory Elder, daughter-in-law Karen McAnlis Elder, beloved grandchildren Alexandra and Malcolm, and nieces Catherine Roether Dick (Matthew) and Caroline Roether Bonifas (John) and several great-nieces and nephews.

William "Bill" Lee Crouse, 70, of North Baltimore, died at 11:55 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green.
He was born on June 1, 1943, in Findlay, to the late William Clair and Lorelia "Shorty" (Bechtel) Crouse. Bill married Sharon M. McCartney on October 6, 1968, and she survives.
Also surviving are their three sons: Clair Crouse of Cygnet, Ray (Barb) Crouse of Cygnet and Brent (Leanne) Crouse of Deshler; nine grandchildren; and his sisters: Iona Davis and Carol Smith, both of North Baltimore.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Michael Lee Crouse.
Bill retired from Ohio Operating Engineers as well as the North Baltimore Fire Department, where he was the Fire Chief from 1986-1991.
He was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served four years for our country. He was a member of the North Baltimore Masonic Lodge #561, North Baltimore American Legion Post 539 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2633.

Linda Downs Hoile, 70, of Bowling Green and formerly of Tontogany, Ohio, died February 21, 2014 at the Bowling Green Manor Nursing Home in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Linda was born on December 23, 1943 in Bowling Green, Ohio to Daniel and Marjor (Heiman) Downs. As a child she was raised by her mother and Victor Emm. On June 8, 1996 she married James Hoile at the Tontogany Presbyterian Church.
Linda graduated from Otsego High School in 1961 and worked for over 34 years at Bowling Green State University as a secretary in the Romance Languages Department.
She was a member of the Tontogany Presbyterian Church and served on the church Session, Vacation Bible School, taught Sunday School, and also gave the children's message.

Hubert R. Tolbert Sr., age 85, of Wayne, Ohio, passed away on Saturday (February 22, 2014) at Wood Haven Health Care in Bowling Green, Ohio.
He was born on August 9, 1928 in Town Creek, Alabama to the late Jeff Pilgrim and Georgie Marie (Peebles) Tolbert. He was married to Bessie I. Winters and Sandra L. McDonald.
Surviving are son, Hubert R. "Butch" Tolbert Jr. of West Millgrove, Ohio; daughter, Nikki Lafferty of West Millgrove, Ohio; stepdaughter, Alice Faye Holt of Scottsboro, Alabama; brother, George Eugene Tolbert of West Millgrove, Ohio; grandchildren, Rebecca, Eli, Sadi; great-grandchildren, Myria and Alice.
He was preceded in death by brother, Elmo; sisters, Lorine Williams, Mabel Peebles, Catherine Seem, Helen Steiner; grandson, Chad.
He was the former owner/operator of Tolbert Heating-Cooling-Electric which is now owned/operated by his son.
He served his country proudly in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Albert Bowe American Legion Post #338 in Bradner, Ohio and the Wayne United Methodist Church.

Paul Briner Sr., 49, of Bowling Green passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2014.
Paul was born in Bowling Green, to Dennis and Mary (Phillips) Briner.
Paul is survived by his mother Marialyce Barringer of Bowling Green; children: Paul (Heather) Briner Jr., of North Baltimore, Kimberley Telles of North Baltimore, Amanda Briner of Rudolph and Jennifer (Alexander) Bennett of Bowling Green; 10 grandchildren; brother, Keith Sizemore of Bowling Green; and an uncle, Joe Phillips of North Baltimore.
Paul was preceded in death by his father Dennis.
Visitation will be Monday February 24, 2014, from 10 a.m. until the time of his funeral service at 11 a.m. in the DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster St., P.O Box 648 Bowling Green. Burial will be in Wingston Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deck-Hanneman Funeral Home.
