Beverly J. Straley, 80, of North Baltimore, died at 9:13 a.m., Friday, October 25, 2013, at the Bridge Hospice Care, Findlay.
She was born on December 23, 1932, in Wood County to the late Loy Stanley and Alma Kathryn (Rose) Woessner. She married Melvin H. Straley on May 19, 1950, and he preceded her in death on July 23, 2000.
Beverly is survived by her sons: Bill Straley of Cygnet and Bob Straley of North Baltimore; her daughter, Lori (Robert) Ruffell of North Baltimore; her sister, Barbara Northrup of North Baltimore; eight grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Joanie Straley and her brother-in-law, Melvin Northrup.
Beverly retired in 1995 from the Whirlpool Corporation.
She was an active member of St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Baltimore and Friends of the North Baltimore Public Library. She was also a member of F.O.E. #2633, North Baltimore.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 29, 2013, at St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church, North Baltimore, with Reverend Ralph Mineo officiating.
Burial will be in Bethel/Ten Mile Cemetery, Portage Township. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Luke's Evangelical Lutheran Church.
