Beulah I. "Boots" Thompson, age 94, of Wayne, Ohio, passed away Monday (September 2, 2013) at The Toledo Hospital.
She was born on October 3, 1918 in Haviland, Ohio to the late Earl and Iva (Hartsell) Adams. Boots married Clinton D. Thompson in Portage, Ohio on September 29, 1939; he passed away on March 3, 2013.
Surviving are Daughters, Marcia (Ronald) Adkins of Bowling Green, Ohio, Sharon Stone of Wayne, Ohio; Brother, Glenn (Dorothy) Adams of Portage, Ohio; Grandchildren, Kelli (Kyle) Reiser, Todd (Renee) Adkins, Mike (Tammy) Stone, Terry (Laura) Adkins, Michelle (Phil) Mohre, Marilyn (Chuck) Forester, Monica (Brian) Arnold, Ginger (Mark) Curtis, Matt (Courtney) Stone; & 21 Great-Grandchildren. Boots was preceded in death by her mother, Iva Adams; father and step-mother, Earl & Ruby Adams; Son, Thomas Thompson; Brother, Paul Adams; Sisters, Carmen, Lois, Hope, Annabelle; Son-in-Law, Gene Stone.
Boots was a 1935 Graduate of Haskins High School. After High School she was a homemaker, and co-owned the former C & B Market with her husband, Clint.
She was a member of the Wayne Church of Christ, where she was a former Sunday School Teacher, and the former Jr. Sunday School Superintendent. Boots also was a volunteer for the Wood County Hospital Guild for over 35 years.
Services will be private per request of Boots.
Memorial donations may be made to Elmwood Baseball.
Arrangements are being handled by Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne, Ohio.
