Barbara A. (Jones) Swain, 67, of Bowling Green, died Monday, October 12, 2009, at the Wood County Hospital after a long battle with cancer.
She was born on June 22, 1942, in Fremont, Ohio. She was adopted by the late Cloyce and Blanche (Curtis) Jones. She married Roger Swain in 1965, and they were divorced.
She is survived by her daughter, Joann (Wes) Amos of Portage, Ohio; grandsons, Kyle and Korey Amos; and a brother, Donald E. Jones of Bowling Green.
Barbara was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a volunteer for the Wood County Humane Society.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Thursday at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, with a graveside service in Maplewood Cemetery, North Baltimore at 3:30 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Wood County Humane Society, in her memory.
