Barbara L. Raeske, 72 of Rossford, OH, died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Regency Hospital in Sylvania, OH.
She was born February 11, 1941 in Pemberville, OH to the late Richard Grindstaff and Gene (Rhoda) Trout.
She was a 1959 graduate of Bowling Green High School. On May 5, 1973 she married Frank Raeske and he survives.
Barbara was a homemaker who held memberships at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Elmore, OH and Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Toledo, OH. She had served as past Presiding Judge for the Wood County Board of Elections, and served as a board member for both the Rossford Public Library and the Wood County Board of Mental Health. She truly enjoyed her time spent with friends at Grace Church where she was a member of the Rachel Circle.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Frank Raeske of Rossford, OH; daughter, Rebecca (Stephen) Grinch of Westerville, OH; sisters: Kathie Mears of Sandusky, OH and Susan (Rik) Dowswell of Tarpon Springs, FL; granddaughter Charlotte Grinch.
She was also preceded in death by two step-fathers Jay Mears and Harold Trout.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-8 p.m. at the Crosser Funeral Home, Elmore-Genoa Chapel with the family present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elmore with the Rev. Howard Abts officiating. Burial will be in Harris- Elmore Union Cemetery, Elmore.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church.
