Arthur Davis Broughton, 51, of Athens and formerly of Bowling Green, died Sunday (June 14, 2009) at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.
A Navy veteran, he served on the U.S.S. Ainsworth.
Mr. Broughton was formerly an active volunteer for the Eastwood Youth Soccer Association.
A graduate of Colerain High School in Cincinnati, he received his bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati, and his master's degree from Bowling Green State University.
Surviving are his wife, Kelly Moore Broughton; a son, Dave; three daughters, Katherine, Rachel and Maggie Broughton; his parents, Donald and Sharon Broughton, of Menahga, Minn.; and a brother, Don.
A private service will be held in Minnesota in July.
Visitation will be at the family home in Athens, from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
