Ann E. McDermott, 54 years of age, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014.
Ann was born and raised in Findlay, Ohio to Donald A. and Beverly (Palmer) Rooney.
She married Thomas J. McDermott on August 1, 1981 in Findlay, Ohio and he survives her in Bowling Green,
Ohio.
Along with her husband Thomas, Ann is survived by her mother: Beverly Rooney, of Findlay, Ohio; sons:
Patrick (Shaina) McDermott, of Bowling Green, Ohio; Andrew McDermott, of Bowling Green, Ohio; Ross
McDermott, of Columbus, Ohio; a sister: Jill (Franz) Weckesser, of Spring Valley, Ohio; brothers: David
(Amy Saunders) Rooney, of Ann Arbor, Michigan and Phillip (Tamera) Rooney, of Findlay, Ohio.
Ann was preceded in death by her father, Donald A. Rooney.
Ann was a 1977 graduate of Findlay High School and a 1981 graduate of Bowling Green State University with
a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. Ann was a registered nurse for St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Ann
was a devoted wife, mother and nurse and through her love and dedication she touched many lives.
A Celebration of Life for Ann will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. in the
DECK-HANNEMAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1460 W. Wooster Street/P.O. Box 648, Bowling Green,
