Amelia "Amy" Oliverio, 88, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 5, 2013.
Amy was born March 28, 1925 in Canton, Ohio. Amy was married to Earl Oliverio for 57 years, most of which were spent in Cleveland and Euclid, Ohio.
They owned and operated one of Cleveland's most successful Convenient Food Marts for 23 years.
Amy was an avid Cleveland Indians and Browns fan, an avid golfer and bowler. Amy enjoyed water aerobics at St. James and playing cards with her many friends at Luther Woods. Amy was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; mother, Angela Coletta; brothers, Don, Dan Coletta and sister-in-law, Lee Coletta.
Amy is survived by daughters, Luci (George) Gernot, Evie (Jack) Streit; grandchildren, Justin (Vesna) Gernot, Carli (Dmitry) Karpeyev, Seth (Rebecca Rankin) Gernot, Nicki (Rob) Fitzsimmons, Heidi (Drew) Loman, Tommy (Britt Gerena) Streit; step granddaughter, Pene (Robb) Friar; great grandchildren, Christian Gernot, Ross, Ryan Friar, Sasha and Katya Karpeyev. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including, Don (Julie) Coletta, Doug (Teri) Coletta, Denise (Julie Saccogna) Coletta, ML Walker and her dearest friend Grace Siegel.
Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Tuesday with a Scripture Service at 6:30 p.m. at the Dowling Funeral Home, 7509 New West Road at King (King Road between Sylvania and Central Ave.) Toledo, 419-841-8111. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes, 6149 Hill Ave. Toledo, Ohio 43615.
In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to Little Flower Church, Lutheran Village at Wolf Creek, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or The Toledo Area Humane Society.
Amy will be missed cherished and loved…always.
