Allen ‘Babby’ Babcock

Allen "Babby" Babcock, age 83, of Bradner, Ohio, passed away peacefully Saturday (June 7, 2014)
at Wood Haven Health Care in Bowling Green, Ohio.
He was born on June 27, 1930 in Bradner to the late Jake and Ethel (Koons) Babcock. Allen married Helen
J. French on August 31, 1956 in Angola, Indiana; she passed away on September 29, 2001.
Surviving Allen are sons, Jeff L. (Angie) Babcock of Bradner, Ohio, Joe L. (Wendy) Burrows of Fostoria,
Ohio; daughter, Lori J. (James) Johnston of Bradner, Ohio; stepsister, Shirley Wallace of Gallipolis,
Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Ethel; stepmother, Lilian Gladman; wife, Helen Babcock;
sons, Allen C. Babcock, Douglas Babcock, Dave Burrows; daughter, Karen Burrows; brothers, Raymond,
William, Bernard, Lewis; sister, LaVilla Curlis-Carr.
Allen served his country proudly in the Army during WWII, then worked as an auto mechanic for Eisenhour
Motor Sales for over 30 years.
He was an avid racing fan, and loved working on cars and scrapping.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday (June 11, 2014) at Barndt Funeral Home in Wayne,
Ohio, where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday (June 12, 2014) at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in Bradner Cemetery, with a bereavement luncheon immediately following at the Albert Bowe
American Legion Post #338 in Bradner.
Memorial donations may be made to the Albert Bowe American Legion.
