Alex J. Molner Jr., 69, of Bowling Green, Ohio, passed away Friday, August 23, 2013. He was born June 1, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio to Alex Sr. and Kathleen (McDermott). He married Judie(Jones) and she survives in Holland, Ohio.
Alex was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Tontogany, Ohio where he was a long time volunteer. He was a board member of the Northwestern Sewer and Water District. Alex was a close friend of the band The Doobie Brothers and enjoyed riding his Harley in his free time.
He was retired from A & M Machinery in Bowling Green.
Alex is survived by his daughters, Colleen (Paul) Granick of Covington, KY, Brandie L. (Garrick) Newsome of Wilmington, NC, Ashlie (Josh) Eberle of Findlay, OH, brother, Jeff Molner of Florida, and 2 grandchildren, Emily H. and Alex L. Newsome.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 26, 2013 from 4-7 pm at PEINERT-DUNN FUNERAL HOME Tontogany, 18620 Washington Street Tontogany, Ohio. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 10:30 am at Calvary United Methodist Church, 18296 Broad St. Tontogany, Ohio. Interment will follow at Washington Township Cemetery. Rev. Mark Montgomery will officiate.
Memorial contributions can be made in Alex's honor to Calvary United Methodist Church.
