Austin Everett Adams, 98, of Neapolis, Ohio, died Tuesday July 31, 2012 at Whitehouse County Manor. Everett was born April 24, 1914 in McClure, to the late Harvey "Harry" and Edna (Jones) Adams. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Maxine L. Adams. Everett retired from Abbey Aetna Machine Company, Perrysburg, where he worked as a machinist for 19 years. A graduate of Swanton High School, Everett was a member of the Neapolis Church of Christ and a charter member of Neapolis Fire Department. He enjoyed camping, bowling, playing cards, especially euchre and pinochle. In his early years he enjoyed calling square dances. He was a member of the Anthony Improvement Corporation for many years. He learned from his father the family business of moving buildings and masonry work. He is survived by three sons Lester E. (Carole) Adams, Pine, CO; William E. Adams, and Donald (Laura) Triggs both of Neapolis, three daughters, Joyce A (Bill) Magrum, Mary S. (Rick) Baldwin, and Cindy L. (Jeff) Morris all of Neapolis; 16 grandchildren, 18 great children, 2 great-great grand children, and sister-in-law Lucille Laver. Two brothers, Cloyce and Paul, three sisters, Gladys Hayward Stanley Evinger Richman, Verna Belle Carter Rudolph; Evelyn Adams, a brother and sister preceded in infancy. An infant granddaughter Anna Adams also preceded him in death. Visitation will be Friday from 2 until 8 p.m. at Peinert Funeral Home, Whitehouse. A special Fireman's service will be held Friday evening. Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. in the Neapolis Church of Christ with Pastor Terry Spiess officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Grand Rapids. Memorials are suggested to the Neapolis Volunteer Fire Department or the Neapolis Church of Christ. Visit www.peinertfuneralhome.com to leave a memory.
