A group of juveniles were caught by police late Friday after they reportedly used a slingshot to shoot
objects at pedestrians.
The incident was reported in the area of East Wooster Street and Manville Avenue around 11:15 p.m.
Police report that at least three people were apparently hit by the juveniles, who were shooting gum
drops with a sling shot from a vehicle. One of the individuals was struck in the chest.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
The juveniles’ parents were contacted, and the matter was to be forwarded to the juvenile prosecutor for
consideration of charges.
The slingshot was placed into evidence by police.
