Work in the greenhouse, camp by the Maumee

• Birds and Bees, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Reuthinger Preserve, 30730 Oregon Road, Perrysburg – Find out
about the park district’s honeybee program and bobwhite quail repopulation program, and how these little
creatures are helping the parks.
• Native Nursery Nights, 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Reuthinger Preserve, 30730 Oregon Road, Perrysburg –
Volunteers at the Native Plant Nursery and Greenhouse may be asked to plant, water, weed and collect
seed. Dress to work outdoors and bring gloves if you have them.
• Fire by the River, 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. June 20-21, Otsego Park, 20000 West River Road – Come spend the
night sitting around a campfire along the mighty Maumee River, make corn fritters and play yard games.
Bring your own chair and bug spray. You are welcome to stay the night and camp down by the river, but
bring your own camping gear.
• Stream Quality Monitoring, 1 to 3 p.m. June 21, Otsego Park, 20000 West River Road – Help monitor the
water quality of the Maumee River. No experience necessary. Volunteers will go in the river, so dress
appropriately and have proper footwear.
