Wood Lane Residential Services Inc. has started planning its fourth annual Feet on the Street 5K Run/2k
Walk for July 12.
WLRS is a non-profit agency that has been providing housing and other needed services to individuals with
developmental disabilities in Wood County since 1979.
Feet on the Street is the primary source of fundraising for WLRS but is also a way to promote fitness and
healthy lifestyles within the community. There were more than 200 participants in last year’s Feet on
the Street and the agency hopes that registration exceeds that number for this year. This race is open
to all those interested in supporting WLRS and those looking to pursue a healthy lifestyle. Last year
WLRS rose over $12,000 for the agency with the help of surrounding business and organizations. Numerous
sponsors have helped get the ball rolling by already making donations towards this year’s event.
WLRS is inviting businesses and organizations to take part in the 2014 event.
The agency appreciates any support whether it is monetarily, through volunteer work, or other donations.
Small item donations can be used as door prizes for race participants. Those who make a monetary
donation of $150 or more have the opportunity to have their name and logo displayed throughout the
event.
Registration for FOTS is now open for those interested in participating in the race. Applications can be
found online at www.active.com or at Second Sole of Levis Commons in Perrysburg.
