A Clyde woman is facing multiple charges after she reportedly kicked a Bowling Green police officer
multiple times in the legs and groin Friday.
Charlotte Marbaugh, 33, was listed in the Wood County jail this morning. She was arrested on charges
including felonious assault on a police officer, failure to comply with the order or signal of a police
officer, and disorderly conduct with persistence.
Police were initially called to the 800 block of South Wintergarden Road on Friday on the report of a
woman biting a man. Two officers responded to the scene, and a man at the location indicated that he had
been assaulted.
Officers attempted to arrest Marbaugh, who was reportedly intoxicated. She struggled to pull away and, as
officers worked to handcuff her, she was able to kick one of the officers in the shins and groin.
Marbaugh was subsequently taken to the Wood County jail, where she reportedly had to be restrained.
The officer did not sustain serious injury.
Marbaugh is to make an initial court appearance today.
