A Toledo woman was arrested early Saturday on a felonious assault charge after striking a police officer
outside the Clazel in the downtown.
The incident was reported at 2:39 a.m.
Maj. Tony Hetrick of Bowling Green Police said this morning that an officer was flagged down outside the
business, in the 100 block of North Main Street, in reference to an intoxicated female who had
reportedly hugged a male subject and would not let him go.
The officer reportedly asked if the female, identified as Shalonda Horton, 22, Toledo, was all right,
whereupon she turned and struck the officer in the face.
She was taken into custody on charges of felonious assault and disorderly conduct with persistence.
The officer was not injured.
