Bowling Green community partners are hosting the sixth annual Winterfest celebration from Feb. 14 to Feb. 16.
Winterfest is a three-day winter-themed celebration that is free, open to the public, and includes: ice sculpture garden, ice skating, date night challenge, horse-drawn carriage rides, an indoor winter carnival, Snowflakes on Display and many other winter-related activities.
For this year's event, winter-themed artwork will be displayed throughout downtown Bowling Green. Artists of all skill levels are encouraged to submit up to three winter-themed pieces of any medium to be displayed in businesses and window fronts during February.
There is no cost to participate and no fees are associated with participating artists to display and sell their work.
Artists can register and submit their work through Jan. 18, and after a review committee selects pieces they will be displayed in a downtown window front during February along with a name plate with the artist's name, title of the piece, medium, sale price and artist contact information.
For registration and more information visit the Bowling Green Arts Council's website at www.bgartscouncil.com
For Winterfest sponsorship and event information contact the Bowling Green Convention & Visitors Bureau at (419) 353-9445, or http://www.visitbgohio.org
