The National Weather Service has upgraded the Winter Storm Watch to a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY for Wood County from 4 p.m. today until noon Wednesday.

Snow is expected to move into the area in the late afternoon and increase in intensity throughout the evening and overnight before tapering off Wednesday morning.  3”-6” of snow is expected, with heavier amounts towards southern Wood County.  Some blowing and drifting of snow will be possible with winds from the northeast at 10-15mph with occasional gusts up to 25mph.
