An early spring storm dropped inches of snow on the county and made travel on roadways throughout the area hazardous this morning.
While they had not handled any injury accidents earlier this morning, a dispatcher with the Ohio Highway Patrol characterized the roads as "pretty slippery."
They were a few slide-off accidents on Interstate 75 and other roadways, and as of 8 a.m. one crash was reported at River Road and Ohio 582.
The report was similar from the Wood County Sheriff's Office, with several slide-off accidents and slick roads predominating, but no crashes or incidents were impeding travel.
A potential injury accident was reported in the area of Luckey Road.
Two people were taken to Wood County Hospital early this morning following a crash at 2:35 a.m. at Kellogg Road and Ohio 64. Ashley Sandoval, Haskins, was cited for failure to control. She and her passenger, Juan Sandoval, Haskins, were taken to the hospital with non-incapacitating injuries by Mid County 120 EMS. Further details were unavailable because the crash report was incomplete.
Slide-off accidents on I-75 were reported in Perrysburg Township.
The city of Perrysburg was experiencing snow-covered roads, but according to a dispatcher, only one accident, a non-injury crash at Eckel Junction Road and Ohio 25, was reported.
In Bowling Green, two accidents were reported this morning, one at 7:59 a.m. at Manville Avenue and Napoleon Road between two cars; and a one-car crash at 5:48 a.m. at 1320 Sand Ridge Road. Both had drivers cited for failure to maintain reasonable control.
