Water district offers leak detection

Northwestern Water and Sewer District customers are invited to try a new pilot service to manage water
usage and lower utility bills.
Customers who are interested in the service must create a new AquaHawk Alerting account at www.nwwsd.org,
where they can check to see if their area is part of the trial.
The program is a leak detection and notification system where customers manage and can control water
usage.
"AquaHawk is an amazing system where you are notified of problems, and in my opinion, the best
feature is to set up a monthly budget to reduce usage and save money on utility bills," district
President Jerry Greiner stated.
AquaHawk has many advanced features such as alerts via text message, email, Web and direct mail.
Customers can also see "estimated bills-to-date." The program even allows third-party account
access so that landscaping companies or property managers can track usage.
"In this day and age, it’s smart to use the latest tools to manage household and personal
expenses," Greiner stated.
