Register for the following upcoming Wood County Park District activities at www.wcparks.org or by calling (419) 353-1897.
•    Teasel Roundup Volunteer Opportunity, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Cricket Frog Cove - Help improve wildlife habitats by removing invasive teasel. Whoever collects the most will win a prize. Dress to work outdoors and bring gloves if you have them.
•    Native Nursery Nights Volunteer Opportunity, 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Reuthinger Preserve - Volunteers at the Native Plant Nursery and Greenhouse may be asked to plant, water, weed or collect seed. Dress to work outdoors and bring gloves if you have them.
•    Prairie Breakfast, 9:30-11 a.m. Aug. 31, W.W. Knight Nature Preserve - Surround yourself with the beauty of the late summer wildflowers at their peak. Enjoy a light breakfast, inspiring words and the prairie in the morning dew.

•    Native Nursery Nights Volunteer Opportunity, 6-8 p.m. Sept. 5, Reuthinger Preserve - Volunteers at the Native Plant Nursery and Greenhouse may be asked to plant, water, weed or collect seed. Dress to work outdoors and bring gloves if you have them.
•    Paddle the Pond, 4-8 p.m. Sept. 9, W.W. Knight Nature Preserve - A monthly canoeing adventure on the pond at the W.W. Knight Nature Preserve. If you have never canoed, this is a great way to give it a try. Canoes, paddles and life preservers are provided. Registration is not required and there is no charge. Canoeing is on a first-come, first-served basis and participants will have at least 30 minutes.
