Two injured in weekend crashes

Two people were injured in separate crashes reported by the Wood County Sheriff’s Office this weekend.

On Friday, at 1:34 p.m., James Savoy II, Rudolph, was eastbound on Mermill Road, just west of Ohio 25,
when he went off the left side of the road, struck a utility pole, and continued into a ditch.
Savoy sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by Mid-County 120 EMS.

He was cited for failure to control.
On Saturday at 10:24 a.m., Lois Stribrny, Perrysburg, was stopped westbound in the 6300 block of U.S. 20
in Troy Township when her vehicle was struck by a motorcycle operated by Edward Lemke, Rocky Ridge.
Lemke was not initially transported by an ambulance, but later went to McGruder Hospital, Port Clinton,
where he was treated and released with a fractured arm and numerous cuts and abrasions.
He was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
