PERRYSBURG – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle injury crash that occurred Thursday at 7:10 a.m. on Oregon Road at Ayers Road. At that time, a 1995 Chrysler Concorde driven by Christopher Campbell, 19, Holland, was westbound on Ayers Road when he turned towards Oregon Road and failed to yield to a 1984 Kenworth dump truck driven by Daryl Lewis, 28, Grand Rapids, Mich. After impact, the dump truck drove off the west side of the road, and the Chrysler traveled off the east side. Lewis was taken to St. Luke's Hospital, Maumee, by Perrysburg Township EMS with minor neck, back and head injuries. Campbell was trapped in his vehicle, and had to be extricated by Perrysburg Township Fire and Rescue. Campbell was taken via air ambulance to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, with severe, but non-life-threatening injuries. |
