Two people were transported to Wood County Hospital following accidents reported by the Wood County Sheriff's Office Sunday. At 2:25 a.m. on Mercer Road, just north of 17822 Mercer Road, Matthew Puet, Toledo, was walking northbound when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The vehicle did not stop and left the scene. Puet was taken to Wood County Hospital by Mid-County 120 EMS with non-incapacitating injuries. At approximately 1:30 p.m. at Bowling Green Road West, just northeast of U.S. 6, Liam Phillips, Bryan, driving a 2000 Yamaha motorcycle, was westbound when he swerved to the right to avoid a truck moving into his lane and drove off the road. Phillips reportedly laid his vehicle down on its side on a grassy area. Phillips, who was wearing a helmet, was taken to Wood County Hospital by Northwest 190 EMS with possible injuries. |
